Mrs. Knapp, thank you for teaching all of your students so much about life. We learned about respect, honesty, and so much more. The highlight of my year was reconnecting with you on Facebook and the fact that you remembered myself and my three younger brothers who followed in my footsteps at Aquinas was amazing. I loved watching you love your life. You will be deeply missed by this entire community. Thinking of your family during this challenging time.

May God take my wonderful teacher (Mrs. Knapp) to his beautiful paradise. She was tough on me in math class but I know now being a teacher that it was tough love. I always enjoyed running into her and reminiscing. I am truly saddened to hear the news. Love ya always. My thoughts and prayer to you Joe B and your family in this time.

When I was 15 years old, Mrs. Knapp taught me to not dare chew gum in her class, yawn or speak out of turn. Looking back 10 years later, it was all about respect. She taught us far more than what was in the ciriculum and I will be forever grateful for that. My thoughts and prayers are with the Knapp family during this time.

Sending sincerest condolences to the entire Knapp family. Mary Lou was a mentor & close friend of mine for many years as I started my teaching career at Aquinas back in 1998. She was an amazing teacher who demanded respect, and her students loved her for it. She taught me so much during my beginning years as a teacher. These are lessons that have stayed with me since then. Mrs, Knapp's legacy shall live on forever, both in the halls of Aquinas and in our hearts. Keeping all of you in my prayers.May God give you strength at this time.

Thanks to this woman, who taught me at Good Shepherd elementary school in the early 1970's,for creating a spark to learn math. She taught me to challenge myself, and I still am doing what she taught as I am completing a Doctorate degree at 56 years of age. I am a pharmacist, and I am blessed to have had the opportunity to tell her how important I thought she was to my success when I saw her by chance shortly after graduating from pharmacy school. My heartfelt condolences go out to her family. God bless.

Mary Lou was born with motivation in her genes. Very intelligent, classmate at Canisteo Central, well skilled, great family and bound to succeed, which she did. Although I have not seen her in years there are still memories of the Canisteo Central Classmate. I played football with her husband and surely wish him all the best at the moment. There is a big gap to fill with her passing. I wish Daryl and the rest of the family continued success. Live life the way you wish, we're running out of time! We are all on short time clock on the moment. The very best to all my classmates and particularly this great family. Sorry for the lost. Chuck McMullen

Mary Lou was my 7th and 8th grade math teacher. We kept in touch through church and working with her as a Funeral Director through St. Joseph's and RIT. She was dedicated and gave 100 % of herself no matter what she did. We need more people in this world like Mary Lou. To Daryl and her family my deepest sympathy. I hope she notices I referred to her as Mary Lou and not Mrs. Knapp!
