I am so terribly saddened to hear of Jamie's death. I had so wanted a reconciliation, but it was not to be.

Dear Carol and the Gumer family,
I was very sorry to learn of Jim’s passing. We were friends in Brighton Grade School and in Brighton High School. I always liked Jim.
I imagine it must be very hard to lose Jim but I hope you can take some real comfort in the fact that he devoted his life to others and to saving lives, especially through the Brighton Fire Department and in ambulance work. He lived a meaningful and honorable life. I hope he receives the honor he deserves.

Sorry to hear of Jim's passing. We were friends at Brighton High School. We were in the Safety Corps together helping with traffic control and safe crossings for students traversing 12 Corners area. Kept in touch on and off when I left for college. Kind of lost touch but recall talking to Jim at one or more of our HS reunions.
