Obituary of James W. Gumer

Passed away July 24, 2018 at the age of 76. Survived by his loving wife, Carol; children, Ted (Sylvia) Gumer, Deb (Tim) Curran, and Sue (Rick) Hibbard; grandchildren, Ben Gumer, Dan Wasserman, Kevin Curran, and Mike Hibbard; and his loving brother, Michael Millstone.

Jim was not only devoted to his family but also dedicated to servicing his community. He was with the Brighton Fire Department for 45 years. He also was the Captain of the Brighton Fire Police and Secretary of the Brighton Exempts. Jim was involved with both Brighton and Pittsford Ambulances.

Friends and family are invited to call on Thursday, July 26, from 4-7 PM at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services (3325 Winton Road South). Jim’s Funeral Service will be Friday, July 27, at 10 AM in the Chapel in the funeral home. Interment White Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
