Living next door to the Reiss family during my entire childhood joined our families in ways not possible today. Even after growing up and leaving my home, the families shared almost everything. You are each very dear to me. Losing George and my mother in recent months is sad for both of our families. I really have no more words to express my emotions today.

Bonnie and I send our Condolences and prayers to the Reiss Family. Captain Reiss was one of my first Captains in the days when the Atlantic Section was a part of the RPD Patrol Division. I looked up to him then and I will look up to him now as we share in your sense of loss and grief. Like several others I only wish that I lived closer to say goodbye in-person.

Our deepest sympathy to the Reiss, Siver and Fisher families for their loss. George Sr. was both a good friend and colleague of both my dad and I. While he will be missed, the great memories and stories will remain with us.

Alice, Eddie, Betty Ann and others, so sad to lose the two remaining neighborhood parent icons within 5 months. I remember George for so much, just being a part of our lives/childhoods (how we loved getting down in the first above ground pool with sponges and scrub brushes to inaugurate the season... and still recall him and lois rushing out after we'd established a round the pool wave that began buckling the sides). Then the times he'd play the police car siren for us, and all the bike rides in G.V. park (part of his weight loss regime, I think, but taking all of us along when we were never allowed alone was awesome. I last saw him at his 70th birthday party in Rochester, there are group pics of that I would love to have. We all need to gather together again. Love Sue Wunder (aka Eddie's tube buddy).
