Dear Ponnamma, Mini, Malini and Maya,
It is with shock and sadness I learned about the departure of my long time friend Balakrishnan. I have known him (and your family) from the first week of my arrival in Rochester back in 1975. The friendship with Balakrishnan has been a long and sturdy one. His departure leaves a hole that never can be filled. But the memories will linger and the fondness will remain forever.
Though I am stuck with unbreakable commitments at work that will not enable me to travel this weekend, my thoughts and prayers are with you. Time is the great healer. I know; I have been there.
Let God bless Balakrishnan in his path to eternal peace.
