Paul Grammatica

Obituary of Paul S. Grammatica

Paul S. Grammatica was born on December 7, 1966 in Rochester, New York. He passed away on November 3, 2017 at age 50. He is predeceased by his mother, Donna J (Rosin) Csapo. Paul is survived by his daughter, Donna Jean, father; Steven (Kimberly), brother; Gary, step-father; Frank (Karen) Csapo, step-brothers; Frank Jr. and David, step-sister; Julia (Ken) Reitz, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Paul attended Avon Central and East Rochester high schools and earned his GED while studying machining at MCC. In his free-time, he enjoyed fishing on Honeoye Lake and Irondequoit Bay with his brother and friends. He was a fearless downhill skier in the Rockies of Banff, Canada and Colorado. He picked up golf to play with his father. He followed his love of "live" music taking him from city to city across the country with The Grateful Dead, Max Creek and Phish. The birth of his daughter, Donna, brought more responsibilities for Paul; a wife and a home. Paul was seldom without a job; delivering pizzas, as a paint contractor, and working in machine shops. Over the years, his independent nature, non-conformist attitude, and doing things his own way brought some conflict into his life. Through his hard times, his daughter was his ray of sunshine to whom he was so proud of her accomplishments. With her, he would share his love of nature, music, and foreign cars. Friends and family are invited to share their memories of Paul on Friday, November 10th from 4pm to 7pm at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 3325 Winton Road S, Rochester, NY 14623. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the East House, 259 Monroe Avenue, Suite 200, Rochester, NY 14607; www.easthouse.org.
