Obituary of Gene P. Weltzer

Passed away on November 17, 2017, at the age of 84. Predeceased by his parents, Jerome and Marion Weltzer. Survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Diane Weltzer; children, Holly (Austin) Mee and Laurie (Jeffrey) Tokarz; and grandchildren, Shane and Brooke Tokarz. Gene graduated from Monroe High School in 1951, and Rochester Institute of Technology. He worked at The Gleason Works for 42 years where he retired as Manager of Arbor Engineering. He holds the rights to a handful of patents and was an avid woodworker, bowler and golfer. Gene was a devout Catholic and was an active member of Good Shepherd Church. He was also an active member of The Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge and a leader with Junior Achievement. He loved watching sports, especially "Da Bears." But most of all, Gene will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, and the love of family. Gene's Funeral Mass will be held on TUESDAY, November 21, 2017 at 12 Noon at Blessed Sacrament Church (534 Oxford Street). Interment, Pine Hill Cemetery. Donations may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital or The Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge Genesee Valley-Henrietta, NY Lodge 2290 in Gene's memory.
