Obituary of Margaret M. Hoffman "Meg"

Margaret M. Hoffman "Meg" Age 49 of Rochester, NY. Passed away at the Wilmot Cancer Center on November 19, 2017. Meg was born in Rochester and is survived by her partner of 20 years, Kris Wagner of Rochester; parents, Charles and Margaret "Dee" of Victor; sister, Elizabeth of Athens GA; in-laws, Judy and Bill Wagner of Rochester; uncle and aunt, Pastor Bob and Colleen Hoffman of Lebanon, PA; aunt, Mary Jo DeLaney of Snyder, NY and her godmother, Margaret Miller of Spencerport, NY; too many cousins and friends to name.

Meg was a graduate of Our Lady of Mercy High School (1986) and attended St. Ambrose School in Irondequoit, NY. She worked for Verisma Systems as a Release of Information Specialist.

Meg was a devoted Chicago Cubs fan, loved fishing with Kris at Southpoint Marina, attended all the LPGA events at Locust Hill and enjoyed time with friends at the Avenue Pub on Monroe Avenue. She loved widely eclectic music from Barbara Streisand to Hamilton to Jimmy Buffett. Her friends have fond memories of Park Avenue Fest on the porch.

Meg's family wishes to thank all the care givers at Wilmot Cancer Center. Every one of them cared for her with endless kindness and compassion and they are extremely grateful. Special thanks goes to Dr. Wizorek, Dr. Dunne, Dr. Wax and Dr. Diamond.

Meg continues to give even after her death, as her corneas were donated and will help give someone sight.

A celebration of Meg's life will take place at a later date. Donations to the Wilmot Cancer Center or the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Rochester in Meg's name would be happily and gratefully accepted.
