Obituary of Nancy LaClair Curnutt
Nancy LaClair Curnutt died on January 1, 2018 at age 79. She was born in Ellenburg Center, New York. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Jerry Curnutt, daughter Heather (Stephen Gaffield), granddaughter Hazel, son Michael, sisters Sandra King and Patricia Rodriguez and many nieces and nephews.
In the past twenty-seven years in the Rochester area, Nancy was extensively involved with activities of the George Eastman Museum, the Gallery Council of the Memorial Art Gallery, and the Park Square South Neighborhood Association. She was a member of the Tennis Club of Rochester.
In earlier years, Nancy taught social studies in Webster, Spencerport, Brockport, and Rochester, and while living in Tokyo, Japan, at Nishimachi International School. While living in England, she taught tennis. Nancy had education degrees from SUNY Plattsburgh and SUNY Brockport.
Funeral Services will at 11:30 am on THURSDAY, Jan. 4th, followed by a Celebration of Life from 12:30 to 2:30pm all held at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. (3325 Winton RD S). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Memorial Art Gallery of Rochester and the George Eastman Museum.
