Obituary of Herbert R. Reif

Passed away on January 14, 2018 at age 86. He is predeceased by his parents, Herbert C. & Ruth (Jarvis) Reif. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Janice C. Reif; children, Sandy (Hoyt) Brown & Tim Reif; grandchildren, Zach, Noah, Connor & Tyler. Herb was a graduate of Wellsville High School, class of 1949, Marietta College, class of 1958, where he met his wife Janice. He was a proud Korean War Veteran, serving in the US Navy. Herb enjoyed a teaching career that spanned more than 30 years; retiring from the East Irondequoit School District. He and Janice were residents of Fairport for over 50 years. Family and friends are invited to Herb's Memorial Service on Sunday, January 21st at 2PM in the Fairport United Methodist Church, 31 West Church Street, Fairport, NY 14450. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Fairport United Methodist Church or the Monroe Community Hospital Foundation, 435 East Henrietta Road, Rochester, NY 14620.
