Obituary of Mark A. Carbone

Passed away on March 15th, 2019 after a long illness at age 70. Mark is survived by his daughter Sarah Carbone-Belknap (Thomas), grandson Sebastian, sister Kristine Ecker and loving companion Deborah Compton. Mark will be remembered for his wicked sense of humor and his music.
 

Born in Rochester, New York in 1948 to Alfons and Kristina Carbone, Mark grew up to become an accomplished musician with a special affinity for guitars and keyboards. His most treasured composition was the score for his daughter's wedding in 2006. 

An avid fan of new technology, Mark was always acquiring new gadgets and devices. Over the years as technology evolved, so did Mark's career; he retired as a self-taught Software Engineer from Thomson-Reuters in 2011. 

Mark had a wonderful connection with animals, never being without a feline companion. His love of nature and science continues to inspire his daughter. 

A private gathering in his memory will be held in April for his friends and family. Memorial gifts to the Jewish Home of Rochester (Donate online) would be appreciated in lieu of flowers. The family would greatly appreciate any memories you may have of Mark shared in the condolence section.
