Saw this very sad news in the RIT Winter 2020 University magazine. I lived about 3 doors down from Tim as freshmen at RIT in 1986. I remember his Mom's homemade pepperoni bread being a very popular treat on our floor. Tim was short in stature but big on zest for life and kindness. Tim was a driven guy who had no patience for nonsense in those days but he was generous in nature and always "loaned" me some Old Milwaukee's from his dorm fridge if he had an extra or two. Like many college friends we drifted in our own directions ...but I remember Tim well and wish my sincerest sympathy to his Wife and Family. RIP old friend. Jim Murnane

I am so sad to hear about the loss of Tim. I have many great childhood memories of him during my family's visits to Seneca Falls. He was a great cousin and will surely be missed. I remember at the age of 11 or 12, my parents (Tim's Aunt Georgianne and Uncle Bob) loosened the reigns a bit and let me run off with Tim during our visits from Maryland. Tim knew that town inside and out and I felt like a grown-up running the mean streets of Seneca Falls in the early/mid 1980's with my older cousin. There was Rec Center on Water Street (i believe) that had a few pool tables and some video games and such. Cant remember the name of it but the local kids hung out there and it was a good, safe place to hang where we couldn't get into too much trouble. Tim took me there a few times...and THAT'S where I got my first beer!! A Genesee to be exact!! One of Tim's friends had an older brother and he had beer and...well...the rest is history! I remember drinking a couple cans with Tim then kicking the cans along the road as we walked back home feeling like we were the coolest guys on the planet!! Every time I've seen a can of Genesee beer from that day up to this one I've thought of Tim. Thanks, Tim, for that memory and for the hundreds of others we've shared.

My sympathies and prayers are with Tim's Family...Tim and I had a great time on a project many years ago...He called us the "Harley guy and the Gearhead". I had a Chevelle and we thought a lot alike. We worked very well together and solved many design challenges together. I am very saddened and bummed by the news he has passed. HE was a GREAT guy and made some challenging days a pleasure to come to work. We had fun and got some great work done too.
