Judy-Ann & Ken,
I was so sorry to learn of your mom's passing when I got to work in the Heathwood dining room last Monday. I have been bringing Yvonne's meals to her table for a couple of months. She always had an amazing bright smile and a wave "hello" when she saw me each day. I minored in French at LeMoyne College and spent the summer of 1969 in France including Paris and the southern town of Mazamet. Yvonne and I would share memories of our time in France, and she never missed the opportunity to freshen up my French vocabulary and proper pronunciation. I knew her just a short time, but she had a wonderful impact on me. May God bless her, and both of you.

My sympathies on the loss of your mother. We recently experienced a similar loss and know how her passing leaves a hole in your hearts.
My mother, Pierrette Lepel, who just passed in March, and Yvonne were friends through the French Alliance and had a bond from their survival of the Occupation of France.
I do hope they have gotten back together on the other side and are happily catching up.
