Obituary of Yvonne C. West

Yvonne Colette West, age 93, passed away suddenly May 26, 2019.

She was predeceased by her husband, of 60 years, Henry. She is survived by two children, Judy-Ann and Ken (Sue) West and three grandchildren, Stephen, Christina, and Laura.

Yvonne was born in Paris, France to Magdeleine and Ascanio Marsilio. She survived the German occupation of Paris and came to the United States after WWII. Yvonne worked as a secretary for Aetna Insurance in Rochester, raised her family and worked as a French tutor in schools and at Eastman Kodak. Yvonne also served as secretary/treasurer of the Alliance Française of Rochester. Yvonne was very proud of her heritage and returned often to her homeland. She will be remembered for her great cooking and stories of France. Yvonne always thought of others and wished for their happiness.
