My Mom meant everything to me and I called her every day at the same time we could talk about anything and I would sometimes tell her a joke and still hear her laughing as I hung up I will miss that and her love for me also. I gave her different things over the years but she held this one gift a audible picture that she could press a button and hear my voice and she loved that simple gift more than anything and sometimes when I called her and she was worried about something or just simply lonely she would tell me she had just pressed that button and that helped her many times. Sometimes just simple things like that bring much joy to someone and I will always treasure that memory for the rest of my life.
Love you Mom now and forever
Your son Bucky.

I don't know how appropriate is to make a condolence because I am a member of the family. Helen was my mother-in-law for the last 51 years. I loved because she raised a wonderful son who I have been blessed to have as my life's partner. She's is the grandmother of our two sons, Matthew and Jason. Helen was very intelligent. Although, up in her years she kept up with current events. She loved jokes and had the cutest little laugh. She and her son Shelton II (my husband) talked on the phone every day for years. If you didn't know her and heard only her voice you would not know that she was 99. I will miss hearing the phone calls between the two and over hearing her laughter. Although, I am a member of the family, I would like express my deepest sympathy to Lea and Ed McDonald. Helen left this world knowing how much she was loved.

I am so sorry to hear about Mrs. Spencer. She was so special to me and I missed her very much after the out sourcing of my job. She was and always will be a treasured friend. I had tried to contact her this winter, but her phone had been disconnected and didn't know your number. I hope she didn't suffer, but so glad she was with family. I will always remember her with wonderful memories of our talks. Sending thoughts and prayers to the family. Love, Cynthia

So sorry to hear of Mrs. Spencer’s passing. She was a great lady and a joy to know. She used the Botetourt Senior Transportation vehicles for many years for her medical appointments. Always had a smile and a great sense of humor. Prayers for the family. Phyllis Jeter and Penny Firestone....drivers.
