Dear Jane, Patrick and Meghan
Marcello and I send our deepest condolences for your loss. We know this cancer has been hard on the whole family and that in ways brings a family closer, that is true but doesn't make it any easier to slowly watch a loved one suffer. He is at peace now. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Love Lynne and Marcello

Jane, It is with a heavy heart that I learn of your husband's passing. It sounds like he had a rich life with a very large loving family and that you and he were very blessed. His life was too short. You are in my thoughts and daily prayers. Lindsay

My condolences to you Jane and all of the Kelly family -- I was saddened to hear the news of Bob’s passing. I worked with Bob at Bausch & Lomb for many years and he was a great employee! We also always seemed to be in a “diet bet” with others and he would do whatever it took to make the weekly goal. That was Bob… he would always do whatever it took for the job and for a friend. My thoughts and Prayers are with you and your family.

Our sixth grade class was so privileged to know Mr. Kelly. (He told us we could call him Bob but we had too much respect for him and for his SIZE to call him anything but MISTER)! We met him because his two sisters in law volunteered in our classroom to help with various projects like cooking and making holiday decorations. They were great at making ornaments and baking cookies but the boys in our class decided they might rather take on gardening as their next project. Well the two sisters weren't exactly tomato growing experts but they knew someone who was and when Mr. Kelly found out that our class was praying for him every day during his illness, he was quite touched to think that a bunch of kids he didn't even know would do this for him. Most people might take a minute to thank the class for their prayers. But Mr. Kelly wasn't anything like MOST people. He went way above and beyond a mere thank you, WAY ABOVE AND BEYOND,as we're sure he did with most things in his life. One day, Mr. and Mrs. Kelly knocked at our classroom door at Trinity Catholic School in Massena!!! They had driven all the way here while he was seriously ill and showed up at our school with kits for growing tomato plants, seeds, dirt pods, watering cans and even spikes to support the plants as they grew.He was an especially optimistic man since our teacher has managed to kill every living organism (except kids, of course) that ever entered her classroom. (Wonderful lady but no green thumb!)
In a very few days we saw little sprouts. A short few days later, spindly little plants and by the time this school year ended, we had 15 of the tallest, strongest tomato plants you've ever seen! We credit Mr.Kelly's coaching from home, his genuine interest in helping us and the Holy Spirit (whom we're convinced accompanied him on every step of his journey) for our great success! The Spirit was certainly with him the day he visited us. He was so kind, so patient, so willing to answer questions even when feeling so unwell. And the Holy Spirit was certainly with him through his courageous fight. We miss you , Mr. Kelly. You were our friend. We think of you and smile as we bite into our tomatoes this summer. We know you are smiling too. And so is God.
Go now in peace, faithful friend of God, as you take your love into Paradise. God's Holy Angels will lead you home,to the wide waiting arms of your Lord.""
With all our love,Your Sixth Graders
