Scottsville - Suddenly on June 15, 2020 at the age of 55. Survived by his soulmate and best friend Evelyn Campbell-Maihofer; adoring sons, Ian Andrew Maihofer and Colin Stewart Maihofer; loving father, Walter Maihofer; parents-in-law, William and Anne Campbell; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Steve (Roberta) Campbell, John (Debbie) Campbell, Liam Campbell, Alan (Sarah) Campbell, Maureen Campbell-McIntosh. Beautiful nieces and nephews, Matthew, Stephanie, Brian, Eric, Lauren, Kate, Sara, Aodhan, Rory, Finnan, Tiernan, and Gemma. Many amazing aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, co-workers, and his "kids" he taught over the years. Predeceased by his beloved mother Judy (2012) and sister Theresa (2013).

Jason was born in Tarrytown and grew up in Croton-On-Hudson. He graduated from Nazareth College, Pittsford, NY in 1986 and eventually made Rochester, NY home. He married Evelyn on August 1, 1992 and they enjoyed a joyful life with their boys.

Jason received his Special Education and Masters degree from SUNY Geneseo. He was a Special Education teacher at Holley Central Schools for 25 years. He loved his students and colleagues.

A Celebration of Jason's Life will take place on Saturday August 29, 2020 at King's Bend Park, North Lodge, 170 Jefferson Rd Pittsford, NY 14534. Calling hours only: 1-3pm. Service 3-4pm. A party in memory of Jason: 4-8pm
