We were lucky enough to have known Helen for more than 50 years. She was always extremely optimistic in the way she approached life and made people around her feel special. She was a very giving person and appreciated all the things she was blessed with during her life. Her commitment to family and friends is something we cherished and something we can learn from. We will miss her dearly and she will always be in our prayers.

Helen was a neighbor and good friend of my parents, Brownie and Pat Brown. I knew Helen through the frequent visits to their neighborhood. My children remember her too. She was a friend to everyone she met and had a wonderful sense of humor. How fitting that Friends of Strong Pet Therapy Program is suggested for donations. Our 3 Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are therapy dogs at Strong joining over 20 other dogs in the program. My sincere condolences to Joyce and Raymond and their girls. Your Mom will live on in the memories of everyone who knew her.

I met Helen about a year and a half ago and had the privilege of getting to know her through our weekly visits. She was a wonderful person and my visits with her were a bright spot in my week. We shared lots of laughs and talked of many things. My favorite conversations with Helen were about our families. She never failed to ask about my children and my husband, alway telling me to say hello and give him a hug from her. He always sent one in return. Helen's love and pride in her family was evident in the memories she shared and the stories she told. Caring for her granddaughters when they were young, her husband's gladiolus, family trips and gatherings, and what a wonderful cook her daughter Joyce was, were just a few. She lit up when talking about them. I will miss my visits with Helen but am grateful for the time we spent together. My life has been blessed for knowing her.

I can never ever fully express on a computer or in words what an impact Helen has made in my family’s life. She was our next door neighbor for almost 30 years. During that time she went from a neighbor to a mom to a grandmother inside the Bucci house. Her sense of humor is what really connected with us. Somehow she could say anything and make it funny because of her facial expressions. She managed to carry that humor into simple activities such as babysitting our golden retriever, Diamond, or enjoying dinner with us on the spur of the moment. Just the other day while taking a walk with our daughter, Stephanie, we talked about some of the funniest moments with Helen and we were all cracking up at some of her sayings. Another thing about her is that she found her way into both my husband and my extended families’s hearts even though they don’t live near us. Helen, Joyce and their family would attend some of our family gatherings and Helen would always end up being the life of the party! Her mental sharpness never wavered and she was always asking about our families over the years and knew more things about them than I think we do!
No matter what cards Helen was dealt over the years, especially after El passed away, she made the most of them and always was grateful for the hand of cards that she had. She is one of the best examples of being a true Christian and child of God. Rest In Peace, our dear Helen!!

What beautiful words, Carol and we thank you for your friendship and kindness to my mother. She loved you and Bob very much and always had more energy than me. Thank you for making her and us feel part of your beautiful family. She so loved Diamond. Fond memories at the Corral and just knowing you.

My dear friends. Me and Cowboy truly had the honor of getting to know this great lady. We had so many laughs and smiles at our visits! I always looked forward to our chats by the fire. Cowboy so loved to lay in her lap and the smiles told their own story on Helen's face! We both loved to read, so when we were by ourselves, we discussed all types of books and stories, it was great. She gave her best to each one of us whenever we got together. Living till 100 is quite an accomplishment in it's self. She has left us with sooo many fond memories, be at peace as she is in a better place with her husband. The world wherever she was, certainly was a better place because of her! We will miss you Helen, but your spirit lives in each one of us. Thank you for enriching mine and Cowboy's life. He sends kisses to you and a wagging of his tail.

How blessed mom and I were to have you and Cowboy come into our lives. Your visits, pets and licks were most enjoyable. Thank you for your friendship and thank you for bringing joy to many with your involvement in pet therapy. Let's pray for a good vaccine so you can continue spreading joy to others.
