Obituary of Kenneth H. Coakley

Kenneth H. Coakley, age 84, of Henrietta died Sunday, September 26, 2010 in Highland Hospital, Rochester, NY. Mr. Coakley was born March 25, 1926 in Batavia, NY the son of the late John and the late Florence (Boyce) Coakley. He served in the Navy from 1944 to 1946 during World War II. Ken was a NYS Trooper and retired from Delco Products Roch., NY as a Security Guard. Many people knew Ken as "the icecream man". He was predeceased by his daughter Cheryl in 1998. He is survived by his wife: Carol(Sanders) Coakley, daughter: Kathleen (Bill) Herman, grandchildren: Scott Coakley, Alicia (Shawn) Hubbard, Christopher, Patrick and Jonathan Herman. Great grandchildren: Jackson Herman and Kayleigh Hubbard. Sisters in-law: Gladys Coakley and Geraldine Hurley. Nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-7 at Henry D. Halloran Son, Inc. Funeral Home, 5781 West Henrietta Road. Ken's graveside service will be Thursday at 12:00 in Maplewood Cemetery, Middle Road, Henrietta with Rev. C. David Hess officiating.
