Obituary of Katherine A. Coddington

Age 99, died peacefully August 8, 2011 Predeceased by her parents, John and Josephine Drum; husband Richard S. Coddington; and 6 siblings. She is survived by her loving, devoted friends Brian & Maureen Dwyer, Jack Kraushaar, and others of her “A” Care Team. Born September 18, 1911, she was highly educated and accomplished in her field. Graduate of West High School 1929, University of Rochester 1933, class president and Masters degree 1942. The culmination and pride of her career in Education was being Dean of Girls at Madison High School, 1959-1969. Katie was an avid reader, competitive golfer (hole-in-one in ’74 West course of Oak Hill), bowler, bridge player, yet most passionate about tennis. Member of Rochester Tennis Club and Oak Hill Country Club. Deep appreciation is extended to Rochester Presbyterian Home for giving Katie great quality of life during her elder years, especially her caregivers in her Penthouse Sweet Family.
