I have many great memories of my Aunt Floie....Situp straight, she would slap you if you were bad, she came to coach me at bowling when she was 85 years old!! Buffalo Bills game on Sundays, football in the yard at halftime, always stuck up for the kids, was sooooo cool in every way, was always dressed to the nines, was a very giving person to everyone, she loved her chicken wings.....I have so many that I cannot possibly list them all, but I know this much, she was the greatest in every way and I will miss her terribly!

How did we get so lucky to have Aunt Flo in OUR family? By her example, she inspired us all to be a better person. She is truly a lady of class, wit, strength and compassion. She was a great Buffalo Bills fan...she would gather every Sunday at Aunt Carole's house with the 'girls' to not only route the Bills on, but to play football in the front yard during half time! She had the BEST legs in the family. Always dressed to the nines. We would always find her doing the dishes at someone else's house. I loved watching her slap my Aunts and then stick up for the kids! No one ever spoke back to her. She certainly earned the respect and love from all of us. She also had her hair and nails done, lipstick and jewelry on every day to the end. I will miss our 'girlfriend' talks together. You deserve the peace and happiness you have. I love you.

My Aunt Floie was more than family to me, she was my friend. I loved taking road trips back to Springwater with her. We would talk about how things were when she was a little girl growing up there. I loved her deeply, and will always cherish her memory. Oh, and one more thing - it can come out now, that she was the mastermind behind many of Carole's capers, including the time we kidnapped Aunt Barbara.

To my Great Aunt Flo...You were absolutely one of my strongest role models. Truly a class act in the midst of our big, wild and wonderful family. I will always remember your strength, work ethic, generousity, capacity to love, readiness to laugh, that gorgeous and flawless complexion, and your impeccable ladylike style. One beautiful woman (inside and out)And most of all, I will miss your ablity to keep all of my aunts and cousins in line! Who will do it now??
Much love and admiration, Your great niece, Ann Marie
PS...Kudos to Derrick for the respect, love, kindness and care he showed to his Grandmother Florence.

As a kid we were always so excited when Aunt Flo and Uncle Kickie came to Grandma's. It was always a party atmosphere. As an adult whenever we played cards at Aunt (Good) Carole's house, Aunt flo would come to watch and nosh. She would always manage to sit next to me. I would get lousy cards, swear, and she would smack me. In fact she smacked me whenever she thought I was being "bad" ..... which evidently I was a lot. I would always pretend she hurt me and sometimes it really did smart!!When my misbehavior didn't deserve a smack, I would get that disgusted look with the subtle shake of her head. Anyone who knew her well, knew it. She was one tough, strong old broad ..... (That would warrant a smack). I'm sure that all the women in our family inherited that "look" directly from her. She will be dearly missed and forever in my heart.

Floie was "The Belle of Blossom" Loved so much by everyone. She always stood up for the underdog. When one of the kids got into mischief, she was always on their side, defending them to the end. To all of the Kemps, Vangrols and Brocks I extend my sincere sympathy. PS Thank You Derrick, for all you did.

As(an in-law)she always treated me as family. I will always remember how spunky she was. I would always tell Bob after the X-mas parties how great she looked and how she was so full of life. My three girls loved to see her at the christmas parties. She always would be able to name them one by one with not one errors she was smart as a whip. She was a wonderful women and loved and cherished by many. God love you Aunt Flo.
