Obituary of Florence M. Kemp

Kemp, Florence M. (Brock) Rochester: Born March 21, 1911 crossed over from this life on Wednesday August 12, 2009 after 98 years of living well and loving large. Wife of over 50 years to Clifford Kemp (deceased) and mother to Donald Kemp (deceased). Survived by son Kenneth Kemp of Mumford, NY and daughter Diane M. Van Grol of San Diego CA, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Known to many as "Aunt Floey," to many others as "Florence Flutter Butter," and to a few as" Suez," Florence was a role-model to all and a fine lady. A caring wife and mother, a loving aunt and grandmother, a loyal friend, Florence was also a career woman with over 30 years at Kodak. A fierce competitor on the bowling circuit, Florence was also a die hard fan of the Buffalo Bills and the NY Yankees. A generous member of her community and church, Florence's unconditional love to her friends and family was a hallmark of her character and her mirth, and she managed to smile and kiss her loved ones to the very last. Calling hours will be held Saturday 2-5pm at Miller Funeral Home (3325 Winton Road South), a funeral service will follow at 5:30 pm in the interfaith chapel at the funeral home. Interment will be held Monday, 9:30 A.M. at White Haven Memorial Park .
